Costa Teguise

Built in the 70´s, Costa Teguise is located on Lanzarote’s southeast coast and attracts thousands of visitors every year, including King Carlos of Spain, who has a holiday home there! The resort has 5 pretty sandy cove-like beaches, top-class windsurfing and a family-focused nightlife.

There is a promenade filled with restaurants, cafes & shops and an 18 hole golf course. Costa Teguise also boasts a water park full of slides and pools for a great day out in the great Canarian sunshine, for the young at heart.

Lanzarote

Lanzarote is located in the north east of the Canary Islands, just 100kms from North Africa. The temperatures on the island rarely drop below 16 degrees at any point during the year, making it a popular choice for sun worshippers since the early 70´s.

The main tourist attraction of the island is the Timanfaya National Park, home to the dormant volcano, Fire Mountain. Take a camel ride across the awesome volcanic landscape or enjoy a meal cooked on the BBQ grill over the volcano itself!

Other major tourist attractions are the caves of Jameos del Agua and the Cueva de los Verdes (the green caves).

Lanzarote is home to the largest market in the Canary Islands, held every Sunday morning in the picturesque village of Teguise. This is a great location to haggle for local produce, gifts and items such as lace, leather and wooden carvings. If you prefer upmarket shopping, Puerto Calero is a quiet harbour town close to Puerto del Carmen, offering designer labels such as Armani, DKNY & Ralph Lauren.

Lanzarote has been appointed as a biosphere reserve by UNESCO, thanks also to the local architect Cesar Manrique.

The beaches in Lanzarote come in all shapes and sizes, ranging from the stunning white quiet sandy coves of Papagayo in the south, to the long busy beach of Puerto del Carmen. Thanks to Lanzarote´s close proximity to Africa, these beaches are warm all year round.

A popular day excursion from Lanzarote is the short ferry ride to the neighbouring island of Fuerteventura which operates almost hourly, on a daily basis.
